About This Spot

Stepping into Laza Dessert Cafe, you’re welcomed by a warm, inviting energy that instantly invites you to slow down and savor the moment. Nestled in the heart of Brooklyn, this cozy spot carries a gentle hum of quiet conversation and the soft glow of amber lighting, creating a space that feels both modern and comfortingly familiar. The layout offers an openness that’s pleasantly surprising—the kind of place where you can settle in for a relaxed chat or quietly indulge in your own sweet escape.

The pace here is unhurried and calm, a quiet contrast to the city buzz outside. Behind the counter, attentive and friendly faces offer thoughtful recommendations, making you feel like a guest rather than a customer. It’s clear that the staff take pride in guiding each visit with care and warmth, responding to personal tastes and preferences with ease.

The magic of Laza lies in its approach to dessert—not just as a treat, but as an experience that brings together layers of texture, flavor, and a bit of playful curiosity. Whether it’s the rich, melt-in-your-mouth quality of their signature kunafa, the delicate artistry woven into a Dubai-inspired waffle, or the lovingly crafted crepes topped with fresh strawberries and a touch of childhood-favorite Kinder chocolate, each bite feels thoughtfully composed. Drinks, like a smooth iced coffee or a lightly sweetened frappuccino, complement the sweetness perfectly without overwhelming the senses. And for those who are mindful of their sugar, the team is happy to adjust sweetness levels, making each creation feel just right.

There’s a distinctly human rhythm to Laza—a place where the careful balance of flavors meets genuine warmth. It’s a neighborhood gem that quietly earns your loyalty, not just through its desserts but the sense of ease it offers anyone who steps through its doors. Whether you’re seeking a sweet moment alone or a cozy catch-up with friends, Laza Dessert Cafe resonates as a space built on thoughtful attention, subtle indulgence, and the simple joy of sharing something delicious.

I was visiting from Toronto, Canada and stopped by Laza Dessert Cafe after hearing great things, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The cafe has a warm, welcoming atmosphere with modern decor, soft lighting, and a cozy seating layout that immediately makes you want to stay awhile. The staff were friendly, helpful, and took the time to recommend their favourite items, which made the experience even better. I tried a mix of desserts and drinks and everything was genuinely impressive. The cheesecake was creamy with a smooth texture and a perfect crust. The waffles were fresh and had that ideal crisp-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside balance. The iced Spanish latte was a standout — smooth, well-balanced, and just the right amount of sweetness. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put effort into every item. What really stood out was the menu variety. Whether you’re into cakes, waffles, pastries, specialty drinks, or just want a cozy spot for coffee, there’s something for everyone. The presentation of the desserts was clean and photo-worthy, and the portions were generous for the price. As someone visiting from out of town, I’m really glad I found this spot. Laza Dessert Cafe offers great service, great flavours, and a great atmosphere. I’ll definitely return the next time I’m in Brooklyn and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier dessert cafe experience.

We stopped by Laza while visiting New York and had a great experience. We tried a few different crepes, and each one was delicious. The two young ladies working the register and crepe station were friendly, efficient, and did a wonderful job. The shop itself was clean, welcoming, and larger than we expected, with additional seating in the back—perfect for relaxing and enjoying your food. Overall, a great spot for tasty crepes and excellent service.

Awesome dessert place! We got the -Dubai chocolate cup -cheesecake melt waffle -laza special kunafa Apparently you can request all desserts and drinks to be less sweet which is great. My fave was the Biscoff kunafa. Delicious and excited to come back!

Absolutely loved our experience at the Chocolate Factory! The service was amazing from start to finish, everyone was so warm and welcoming. The food? Delicious. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and made with care. I got the triple chocolate kunafa and the ocky way waffle, so good. Special shoutout to Mariam at the cashier — she was incredibly sweet and helpful. She went out of her way to help us navigate the menu, gave us great recommendations, and genuinely made us feel so welcome. The whole staff chatted with us, made conversation, and truly cared about our experience. You could tell they loved what they do, and it made all the difference. We’ll definitely be back!

Tiramisu was ok but the Lava Kunafa was so delicious. It was a mixture of ice cream and caramel and pistachio/vermicelli and it was delicious. The cafe was also really big with plenty of seating towards the back.
